1. Data We Collect

RoleFit collects the following data when you use our service:

• Email address (for account creation)
• Uploaded CV files (PDF/DOCX) — processed temporarily and deleted within 1 hour
• Job descriptions you provide for analysis
• Analysis results (scores, optimized CV data)

2. How We Handle Your CV

Your CV file is uploaded to our servers solely for text extraction. The original file is automatically deleted immediately after processing. We store a hash of the extracted text (not the text itself) to prevent duplicate analyses. Raw CV text is never logged in our server logs.

3. AI Processing

Your CV text and job description are sent to our AI provider for analysis. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored by the AI provider beyond the request lifecycle. We use the analysis to generate your ATS score, optimized CV, and recommendations.

4. Data Retention

• Uploaded files: Deleted immediately after text extraction
• Analysis results: Stored until you delete your account
• Account data: Stored until you delete your account

5. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit. API keys and credentials are stored as environment variables, never exposed to the client. We implement rate limiting and input validation to prevent abuse.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us. You can also delete individual analyses from your dashboard.
